
GETTING THERE:
Airplane: To Salvador (Bahia), via regularly scheduled flights.
There are air taxi services available from Salvador.
Car: From Salvador – 147 miles/248Km - by BR-324 South, turning left
on BR-101, then turning left again towards Valença na BA-542.
From Ilhéus/Itabuna (Bahia) – 134 miles/226 Km - by BR-101 North,
turning right on BA-001 toward Valença.
Boat: From Valença (Bahia) motorboats and catamarans constantly make
the trip during the day to Morro de São Paulo. Just go to the pier
and buy a ticket on the first one that is departing.

Beautiful beaches, water encircled by coral reefs, enchanting
scenery. This is Morro de São Paulo, an island where the only
motorized transportation consists of tractors to take visitors to
outlying beaches, leaving in the morning and returning in the
afternoon.
Another outing not to be missed is a boat ride around the island,
during which visitors will discover unforgettable scenery. For those
who like to hike, there are trails and climbs that eventually take
you to the beaches.
There is good accommodation infrastructure — approximately 10 hotels,
a camping site and over 100 pousadas (inns).
